New Judith Helfand film features YNY!
Award-winning filmmaker Judith Helfand has made a new short film for Tribeca Studios about exploring identity with her 4 1/2 year old daughter Theo. Theo has been a mainstay of YNY’s kids program, and a few of the scenes in the film– entitled “Absolutely No Spitting”– were shot at YNY in December 2018.
A Besere Velt Chorus Concert Video!
One of the absolute highlights of Yiddish New York’s 2018 festival was the special performance by the A Besere Velt Chorus, which is the resident chours of the Boston Workmen’s Circle. We were happy to see that the Yiddish Forverts newspaper has featured a video of the performance on their blog. You can watch by clicking here.
