Ruth Rubin Legacy Concert

Seth Rogovoy of the Forward Newspaper has published wonderful reviews of two of YNY 2018’s evenings. The Night of Yiddish Song produced in partnership with the YIVO Institute featured the Ruth Rubin Legacy Concert and Michael Alpert’s Crossing the Border. Later in the week, Front to Back presented two contemporary takes on pioneering LPs of the mid-20th century– Michael Winograd’s contemporary take on Dave Tarras/Sam Muziker’s Tanz! album and Frank London’s tribute to Irving Fields’s Bagels and Bongos.
